Voluntary Repatriation Sudanese citizens from Libya Continues

SUNA) - In continuation of the ongoing efforts to evacuate all Sudanese citizens wishing to return voluntarily from abroad, in coordination with the International Organization (IOM) for Migration and other relevant authorities, the embassy in Tripoli, in principle, agreed with the IOM to organize five flights During the remainder of this year.

The first batch is expected to arrive on Saturday, October 30, followed by four other batches over the next two months.

Director of the Department of Consulates and Communities Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Mohammed Abdel Al stated that the ministry, in coordination with the Sudanese embassies in Libya, Niger, Lebanon and Morocco, and the IOM, succeeded in organizing more than (22) flights during the year. 2022, through which Sudanese citizens wishing to return voluntarily to the country were deported, indicating that arrangements are currently being made with the concerned authorities to organize a flight to evacuate the Sudanese from Niger in the coming days.
