Energy minister meets Pakistani ambassador

Khartoum, May 26 (SUNA)- The Minister of Energy and Petroleum, Eng. Mohamed Abdallah Mahmud received today at his office the Pakistani Ambassador to Sudan, H.E. Meer Behrose Regi, and discussed means of establishing investment partnerships in energy and petroleum sector.

The Minister lauded the relations between the two countries, hoping expansion of the relationship into an economic cooperation in favor of the two countries.

Mahmud called on the Pakistani business persons and companies, to enter into potential investment opportunities in all energy fields in Sudan, particularly the alternative energy.

The Minister affirmed that Sudan is committed to remove all challenges facing investors.

On his part, the Pakistani Ambassador, affirmed that the Pakistani companies have abilities to conduct geological research, particularly in the field of minerals, such as gold.
