Gadain Discusses challenges of energy with CNPC

Khartoum, Oct.11 (SUNA)-Minister of Energy and Petroleum Eng. Gadain Ali Obeid. discussed today with Head of the Chinese National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) in South Sudan, at the Ministry’s premises in Khartoum, the joint interests and challenges in Petroleum Sector.

The Minister stressed the importance of providing the necessary services and developing oil production areas through continued efforts with local communities.

The Head of CNPC in South Sudan, on his part, pointed out to the closure of Eastern Sudan describing, it as a real disaster because it impedes the flow of crude oil from the production areas to the port, calling for working together to overcome this crisis.

The Minister acknowledged that the closure of Eastern Sudan is a big challenge calling, for coherence and ignorance of differences to resolve the problem.
