Minister of Energy meets WB Country Director
Khartoum, Feb.1 (SUNA) – The Acting Minister of Energy and Mining, Kheri Abdel Rahman met, at his office, Monday, the visiting World Bank Country Director for Sudan, Eritrea, Ethiopia and South Sudan, Ousmane Dione.
The minister said the meeting discussed the economic situations and its impact on the democratic transition process.
He revealed the presence of energy projects opened for investment, considering these projects as promising to support the Sudan’s economy.
The World Bank official, on his part, underlined that they are well aware that the Sudanese citizen has great expectations concerning the democratic transition, describing it as the big challenge that needs strong will and patience.
He expressed the WB keenness to extend support to contribute to the development projects in the country, adding that the support will include the technical assistances, capacity building and the social development.
