Khartoum, Jan. 13 (SUNA) - A high-level delegation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has concluded a one-day visit to Sudan.

SUNA learned that the visit as part of an UAE effort to narrow the difference between Sudan, Egypt and Ethiopia and to break the deadlock on the Ethiopian Renaissance Dam’s negotiation.

An informed source stated to SUNA that the UAE delegation met with officials at the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Irrigation and Water Resources and heard a detailed explanation about Sudan position in this important file.

He added that the initiative of the United Arab Emirates did not come upon the request of Sudan.
